ElCom – Swiss Federal Electricity Commission
ElCom is Switzerland’s independent regulatory authority in the electricity sector. It is responsible for monitoring compliance.
ElCom monitors wholesale electricity trading in the interest of fair and transparent wholesale energy trading.
In the EU, Regulation No. 1227/2011 on wholesale electricity market integrity and transparency (REMIT) provides the legal basis for the supervision of wholesale electricity trading.
Swiss market participants are also concerned by REMIT and the corresponding reporting and registration obligations.
On the basis of Article 26a of the Federal Electricity Supply Ordinance, the same data relating to wholesale electricity trading as those required in accordance with EU-REMIT have to be submitted to ElCom simultaneously and in the same form.
For more information see: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) zu Artikel 26a StromVV („REMIT“)
Market participants are free to choose the RRM through which they report transaction data.
Via our RRM service you can send transaction and fundamental data to ACER & ElCom.
