LNG market data collection
LNG market participants must submit data to ACER via the TERMINAL platform as part of REMIT obligations. ACER publishes a daily LNG price assessment and benchmark based on reported data, ensuring market transparency.
REMIT II — Same-day reporting
Under REMIT II, reporting requirements are being strengthened. Market participants are expected to submit certain LNG transaction data on the same day (by 18:00 CET), with future integration into Registered Reporting Mechanisms (RRMs).
Latest updates (2026) align LNG reporting with REMIT II and updated ACER guidance (version 3.1).
Rules for LNG fundamental data
Market participants or LNG System Operators (LSOs) must report data for each LNG facility in accordance with REMIT.

Rules for LNG transaction data
LNG contracts follow the same reporting logic as natural gas contracts. The delivery point must be identified using EIC W codes.
Case A: No fixed price/qty
- Report contract via Table 2 (within 1 month)
- Submit Execution (Table 1) once price and volume are known
Case B: Fixed price & qty
- Report via Table 1
- Deadline: within 1 month after parameters are known

Contract for the delivery of LNG in EU
Contracts are reportable if delivery takes place within the EU, including offshore terminals.
Even if LNG is produced outside the EU, it becomes reportable once delivered into EU territory.
Delivery is defined as unloading or transfer at an LNG facility within the EU.

Gas transportation contracts for delivery at the EU border
Transportation contracts are reportable if at least one delivery point is located within the EU.
