Summary of the joint ACER webinar held on 26 March 2026, covering current state and upcoming changes in transaction and fundamental data reporting under the revised REMIT framework.
On 26 March 2026, ACER together with AEMP, OMP and RRM held a joint webinar dedicated to data reporting under the revised REMIT framework. The webinar focused on the current state as well as upcoming changes in transaction and fundamental data reporting.
Public webinar "New energy market integrity and transparency rules" will be held on 23 April 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 CET (online). All stakeholders are invited.
ACER Expert Group on LNG price assessment and benchmarks — the deadline for applications has been extended until 16 April 2026. The group is open to individual experts with relevant experience in LNG markets (acting in personal capacity). Registration via REMIT.expertgroup@acer.europa.eu.
ACER presented a provisional timeline for 2026–2027. The revised REMIT data reporting framework will be implemented in several waves, with major updates to transaction reporting throughout 2026 and go-live of key changes planned towards the end of 2026 / beginning of 2027.
ACER provided an overview of the main documents that will be subject to consultation in the coming months. The package includes both new and significantly updated documents:

ACER provided detailed information on the consultation material package for the first wave:
For each data type, combining selected TRUM sections with XSD extracts. Stakeholders can provide feedback on both guidance text and schema implementation.

ACER announced a public consultation on the new Transaction Reporting Guideline.
The survey will include short descriptions, multiple-choice questions, free text boxes and open questions — structured according to guideline chapters.
Key takeaway: This public consultation is expected to be one of the most important opportunities for stakeholders to influence the final shape of the new transaction reporting rules.
ACER will introduce a completely new guidance document dedicated to exposure reporting:
Reporting obligation on exposures under Article 6 of the revised REMIT Implementing Regulation
Clarification of key policy aspects — scope, timing, threshold application
Structural logic of the exposure report in pre-specified electronic format
Detailed guidance on population of data fields in the electronic format
Practical examples of exposure reporting based on submitted use cases
ACER also presented the documents that will be developed and consulted during the second wave:
Main content of the second wave:
Content will be split: main parts → new FRUM and IRUM. Schema-relevant topics → new technical guidance document (Excel format) together with Validation Rules.
One of the most important parts of the webinar was the overview of provisions expected to apply immediately upon entry into force of the revised REMIT Implementing Regulation (20 days after publication in the EU Official Journal).
Full registration must be completed before the new reporting obligation starts. ACER recommends initiating the process as soon as possible.
Bottom line: These changes will have a direct and immediate impact on reporting deadlines, data scope and internal processes. Market participants should begin preparing now.
